Julit lantang nyané nganti 10 cm miwah dados pinih alit ring keluwarga ipun.[3] Nénten medué sirip basang miwah puniki sané meliyanan sareng liyané, rumasuk C. gachua, spésiés sané kasebar ring Sri Lanka (menawi kedadosang spésiés pedidi), C. kelaartii).[2] Keluawarga bé sané alit liyané ring daratan Asia, sekadi C. andrao , taler nénten medué sirip perut, sakéwanten (liyané distribusi) puniki kakepah antuk meristik miwah pola warna.[4]
Bé puniki ka evaluasi dados spésiés sané rentan olih IUCN[1] miwah wénten sané ngenimbang C. orientalis dados spesies sané keancam.[3] Studi genetik kapublikasi warsa 2017 nyingakang C. orientalis rumasuk kalih presentana.[2]
